Dense and Green Cities’ research wins at the Singapore Landscape Architecture Awards 2022

The Dense and Green Cities module from FCL Global won two awards at the Singapore Landscape Architecture Awards for their research into urban environments.

The Dense and Green Cities module from Future Cities Lab Global (FCL Global) won two awards at the SILA Singapore Landscape Architecture Awards 2022 on 12 December. In the inaugural ‘Research Category’, they won:

  • Silver Award for Vertical Cities
    Complex Emergent Patterns of Movement and Space Use in Dense Urban Environments

  • Merit Award for
    Dense and Green Cities
    Architecture as Urban Ecosystem

The external pageSingapore Institute of Landscape Architects (SILA) is a non-profit organization representing the landscape architectural profession in Singapore. The external pageSingapore Landscape Architecture Award aims to honour and showcase the best works of our landscape architects and promote landscape design innovation in various design disciplines. Dense and Green Cities’ posters were exhibited at the event.

The Dense and Green Cities module investigates and evaluates currently ongoing and planned sustainable integrated districts (SIDs) as a model for high-density high-liveability future cities through case studies in Europe and Asia. Their research captures important aspects of the urban planning and design, architectural, social, environmental, economic and governance systems performance of the selected cases systematically through work packages led by an interdisciplinary team of architects, engineers and scientists and close collaboration with competent stakeholders from government agencies and industry.
