Numa Bertola is a PhD researcher from EPFL working for the Cyber Civil Infrastructure project at the Future Cities Laboratory in Singapore. He completed his Master Degree in Structural Engineering in 2016 and his Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering in 2014, both at Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne, Switzerland. His master thesis focused on fluids mechanics research on the topic of 'Air-water flows in hydraulic structures' at the University of Queensland, Brisbane, Australia.

Research

As a memeber of the Cyber Civil Infrastructure research project, Numa Bertola is currently working on structural health monitoring. His focus is on developing a methodology for sensor-network design in complex engineered systems using a multi-criteria optimisation approach.
