Naika Meili is a PhD researcher in Urban Ecohydrology from ETH Zurich. She is working in the Ecosystem Services in Urban Landscapes group at the Future Cities Laboratory in Singapore. Naika graduated from ETH Zurich with a Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering.

Research

Naika’s PhD research focusses on the cooling potential of green spaces in tropical cities. She is developing a mechanistic urban ecohydrological model with a special focus on different vegetation types within the city. With this tool, the impact of vegetation type and vegetation position on the urban microclimate will be quantified.
