Postdoctoral Researcher of Cooler Calmer Singapore
Huang Xusheng studied architecture in Xi’an, Nanjing in China and Zurich in Switzerland. He received his Masters Degree in Architecture from Southeast University and Doctoral Degree from ETH Zurich. His doctoral topic is about the urban modernisation of Beijing in the early 20th century. He is a postdoctoral researcher with the Cooler Calmer Singapore project, focussing on the urban morphologies’ impact on the urban microclimate - especially urban heat island effect - and the relationship between parameters that define urban form and the nature of the urban environment.
