Research Assistant, The Grand Projet
Felicia Lim Yu Qing is a researcher working on The Grand Projet at the Future Cities Laboratory in Singapore. Her current research focuses on studying the urbanisation process of different large scale, mixed-use, masterplanned projects in the urban context of contemporary European and Asian cities. This comparative study critically examines how various socio-political, cultural and economic forces impact urban development strategies in different cities over time. In addition, she is also part of the team working on the Tanjong Pagar Waterfront masterplan proposal by FCL, a real-world strategic design proposal of high density, mixed-use and future-oriented cluster in Singapore.
Felicia Lim holds a Master of Architecture (with Distinction) from the Singapore University of Technology and Design after completing her Master program which includes a 4-month structured internship at CPG Consultants, a research/design studio on Hyperdensity in Singapore with Richard Hassell and Wong Mun Summ (WOHA Architects); and a thesis work, ‘Preemptive Change, An Adaptive Building Typology for Singapore’s Changing Demographics’ focusing on the theme of Hyperdense City in the context of Keppel-Labrador, Singapore.
