Main content
Postdoctoral Researcher of Ecosystem Services in Urban Landscapes
Dan’s research looks at ecosystem services, which are the benefits that people get from nature. In urban areas these ecosystem services include the effect that vegetation has in cooling the climate, and the opportunities for recreation and relaxation that green spaces provide. Dan studied Biology at the University of Exeter, before moving to the University of Sheffield to do a PhD in ecosystem services and floodplain habitat restoration. He worked as a Research Fellow at the National University of Singapore on mangrove conservation and ecosystem services, before joining the Future Cities Laboratory.
