Bharath holds Mechanical Engineering degrees from the National University of Singapore and the Nanyang Technological University. His work experience includes integrated high-performance building design, building systems testing, modelling-simulation, and performance optimisation. He has previously worked on projects in Singapore, Vienna (Austria) and Colorado (USA).

He is part of the 3for2 project team in Singapore attempting to design, implement and operate an office space with the lowest energy consumption in the region. His research is focussed on trying to implement low-exergy HVAC systems and controls suited to the tropics.
